General description:
This is a brand new René Fournier RF-9 wooden 2-seater motor glider built in its latest and modernised version. It is the improved version of the RF-9 motor-glider designed by René Fournier in 1976, which formed the basis of the composite Ximango from Aeromot Brazil (RF-10).
Firstly modernised by Herbert Gomolzig and ABS Aircraft AG in the late 90'ies the RF-9 Mk III is now further optimised and prepared for serial production by Polavia in Poland.

Remarks:
This RF-9 Mark III motorglider has been modernised, optimised and made ready for serial production during the last 6 years by a team of experienced Polish aircraft engineers and mechanics from the Polish Air Force. The finish is second to none and manufactured with passion and great dedication to detail. Although additional systems for safety and comfort were added and the undercarriage improved for robust operation on gras runways, the weight could be further reduced offering an empty weight of approx. 530 kg including the retracable undercarriage, so lighter than the Ximango, its composite counterpart.

The gliding characteristics come close to a genuine glider, climb rate is approx 4,5m/s (with the 913 A3 already). It is the aircraft for the Fournier enthusiast.

This RF-9 Mk III 001 is the first unit of the relaunch of the RF-9 motorglider by Polavia in Poland.

The price of this first unit is discounted as this unit is certified as experimental.

Further units will be available at a price above ? 125.000,- (ex VAT).
